EDUCATION:
Graduated with honors from the medical faculty of the First Moscow Medical Institute named after I.M. Sechenov of the USSR Ministry of Health, now the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov. Since 1999, he studied in clinical residency in the specialty "therapy", and since 2001 in full-time graduate school at the MMA named after I.M. Sechenov, which he completed ahead of schedule in 2002, defending his candidate's dissertation "Application of stress echocardiography with dobutamine to predict the pharmacodynamic effects of the cardioselective beta-blocker metoprolol in patients with chronic heart failure" (scientific supervisor - Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.G. Kukes).

ADDITIONALLY ABOUT MYSELF:
Since 2002, he worked as an assistant, and since 2004 as an associate professor Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine, I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy. In 2006, he defended his doctoral dissertation "The Importance of Pharmacogenetic Studies of the Biotransformation System and Transporters for Optimizing Pharmacotherapy with Cardiovascular Drugs" (scientific consultant - Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.G. Kukes). From 2007 to the present, he has been working as a professor at the same department at I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. In addition, from 2007 to 2010, he worked as a chief researcher at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, Scientific Center for Expertise of Medical Products, Ministry of Health and Social Development, and from 2010 to 2013 - Head of the Department of Personalized Medicine and Clinical Pharmacogenetics, Clinical Pharmacology Center, Science and Innovation Department, Scientific Center for Expertise of Medical Products, Ministry of Health. Since 2012 - Professor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapy of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, since 2013 - Head of the Department and since 2019 - Rector (elected in November 2018, appointed in April 2019). Scientific research by D.A. Sychev in the field of pharmacogenetics is well known and recognized abroad. According to the Russian Science Citation Index, he has published more than 750 printed works, including in foreign journals. Hirsch index (RSCI) - 25, Hirsch index (Scopus) - 7 (as of April 2020).

Sychev D.A. is a co-author of 8 teaching aids, 2 textbooks, 2 curricula, co-author of the National Guide to Clinical Pharmacology (he was also one of its scientific editors) and the National Guide to Medical Genetics, the author of 2 scientific monographs: "Clinical Pharmacogenetics" (2007), "Drug Metabolism: the Scientific Basis of Personalized Medicine" (2008), Practical Training for Students of Medical Universities "General Issues of Clinical Pharmacology" (2010), methodological recommendations for pharmaceutical companies "Recommendations for the Study of Biotransformation and Transporters of New Drugs: Study Design, Data Analysis and Entering Information into Instructions for Use" (edited by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.G. Kukes) and methodological recommendations for practicing physicians "Personalized Anticoagulant Therapy Based on the Results of Pharmacogenetic Testing", the teaching aid "Polypharmacy in Clinical Practice" (2016, 2018), scientific editor of the textbook "Protocols for Ensuring the Safety of Medical Activities in a Multidisciplinary Hospital" (2020).
Sychev D.A. is the creator of the domestic scientific school of pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics. Under his leadership, 26 candidate and 2 doctoral dissertations were prepared and defended.

PUBLIC ACTIVITIES:
Sychev D.A. was the scientific secretary of the Problem Educational and Methodological Commission for Teaching Clinical Pharmacology of the Ministry of Health and Social Development (from 2005 to 2009), is the consul from Russia (national coordinator) in the European Association of Clinical Pharmacologists and Pharmacotherapists (EACPT, from 2006 to 2015) and a member of the Executive Committee of the same association (from 2011 to 2015), a member of the Presidium of the Russian branch of the European Association of Preventive, Predictive and Personalized Medicine (EPMA, from 2011 to 2013), a member of the Interregional Society for Pharmacoeconomic Research (MOOPHI, from 2005 to the present), a member of the Board of the Moscow City Scientific Society of Therapists (MGNOT, from 2015 to the present), a member of the Formulary Committee of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (from 2009 to 2013 gg.), coordinator of the Formulary Committee of the National Medical Chamber (from 2016 to the present), president of the Society of Pharmacogenetics, Pharmacokinetics and Personalized Therapy (OPFPT, pharmacodenetika.rf), deputy chairman of the Profile Commission on Clinical Pharmacology under the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (since 2019), member of the Dissertation Council for the defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations at the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov (in specialty 14.03.06 Pharmacology, clinical pharmacology). Sychev D.A. takes part in the editorial board of the following scientific publications:

From 2016 to the present, Sychev D.A. is the President of the Society of Pharmacogenetics, Pharmacokinetics and Personalized Therapy (OPPPT), whose main area of activity is the development and implementation of omics technologies for personalized therapy into clinical practice. The printed organ of the OPPPT is the journal Pharmacogenetics and Pharmacogenomics.
