Main scientific results:

  • selectivity of a number of highly purified cytochromes P450 in a reconstructed system in theophylline metabolism was studied;
  • a procedure for simultaneous non-invasive pharmacokinetic characterization of the activity of CYP1A, CYP2D6, CYP3A and N-acetyltransferase 2 using a cocktail of test drugs was developed;
  • associations of polymorphic variants of genes of the enzymatic system of xenobiotic metabolism with predisposition to atopic bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis and other diseases were studied;
  • pleiotropic effects of phenolic antioxidants on the expression of genes of the xenobiotic metabolism system and various signal transduction pathways were studied.

He defended his doctoral dissertation in 2001 on the topic "Genetic polymorphism and activity of xenobiotic biotransformation enzymes in samples of the population of Western Siberia" (specialty 03.00.04 - biochemistry).
Member of the Russian Society of Biochemists and Molecular Biologists, the All-Russian Society of Geneticists and Breeders named after N.I. Vavilov. Expert of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2016, member of dissertation councils D 001.048.04 and D 001.048.01 at the Federal Research Center for Fundamental and Translational Medicine.
Teaching experience - 2003-2019 at the Novosibirsk State University as a professor of the Department of Environmental Chemistry of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, special course "Toxicology"; since 2018 - at the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University as a professor of the Department of Chemistry (course "Toxicological Chemistry").
Under the guidance and consultation of V.A. Vavilin, 10 candidate and 1 doctoral dissertations, 6 final qualifying works were prepared and defended.
