<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>This scientific review presents a current data on the effect of genetic polymorphism of CYP2C9 genes and genes encoding components of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) on the angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. The data shows that genetic polymorphisms of these genes determine the large interindividual variability of the pharmacological response to ARBs. In this article, we carried out a comprehensive review of recent findings on interpatient variability in antihypertensive therapy response due to genetic factors and individualized treatment approach in ARBs therapy.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>сартаны</kwd><kwd>генетический полиморфизм</kwd><kwd>цитохром P450 2C9</kwd><kwd>ренин–ангиотензин–альдостероновая система (РААС)</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>sartans</kwd><kwd>genetic polymorphism</kwd><kwd>cytochrome P450 2C9</kwd><kwd>renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS)</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Ponikowski P, Voors AA, Anker SD, et al 2016 ESC Guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic heart failure.
